Axiom Engineers: Commissioning

VINEYARD 29, ST HELENA, CA

Planted firmly in the heart of Napa Valley, Vineyard 29 looked ahead to their future and to the future of the wine industry (to make the least environmental impact) and decided to significantly reduce its total annual power consumption.

Axiom Engineers℠ integrated 120kW micro-turbine cogeneration system that produces over 80% of the winery’s annual electric power and cooling through waste heat driven absorption chillers. This cogeneration plant produces one-tenth the emissions of typical utility power generation.

This comprehensive project included a central heating and cooling plant, environmentally controlled cave systems, process glycol distribution, fermentation, barrel storage, labs, offices, and a tasting room/hospitality center. To enhance this project, Axiom Engineers℠ developed and commissioning a fully integrated control system to efficiently manage the operations of the facility.
