CARNEGIE LIBRARY, EAST SAN JOSE, CA - DESIGN BID BUILD - Commissioning
This LEED for New Construction expanded the historical library with a major addition attached to the existing building. The ventilation system utilized wall diffusers and crawlspace duct to maximize the interior design open space.
Commissioning services verified numerous control strategies employed in this building. Control strategies commissioned included demand control ventilation, crawlspace air management, and dual duct variable air volume systems. Numerous control issues were discovered and resolved due to the commissioning services that ensured occupant comfort and safety. System adjustments were made during the commissioning process to affect adequate & efficient air delivery.
East San Jose Carnegie Library is LEED certified to the Silver Level.
